We woke early in the morning

We woke early in the morning to try and get as close to Memphis as possible so that we could make it to Memphis early the next morning. We floated down the chute for about six miles when we came across a wing dike. This is normal, except this time the water seemed to be a bit lower below the dike. We got close when and noticed we were probably going to hit this one. Sure enough the boat barely scrapped over the dike and caught the rudder. Fortunately no damage was done and we didn't take on any water. I guess we just don't do well with wing dikes. Shortly after that Nate noticed a dozen Canadian geese on a sand beach. We tied up in another chute about 25 miles north of Memphis.
