WHAT IS THE INDYWOOD PROJECT?

The Indywood Project is a fundraising site to raise $120,000 independently
for the first Indywood Movie “Invasion of the Not Quite Dead”.

The whole concept of indywood is to make a feature film that has high production values and is

want to show the world that a website can raise a movies budget and that filmmakers can keep
100% control of their movie and distribute it themselves.

HOW DID THE INDYWOOD PROJECT EVOLVE?
The project was originally called “The Million Dollar Movie Project” back in Jan 2006 but due to lack of creativeness and originality it died a very nasty death. In Dec 2006 the creators of TMDM came back to put some life into the fundraising concept and came up with The Indywood Project.

WHATS THE IDEA?
We have 6000 mini squares on a huge grid; each square can be purchased for $20 (£10.08), they are cleverly called Producer Squares. After hitting the buy it now you will get a chance to submit a photo of yourself to put in your chosen square and it will be linked up to your own producer profile, this will then give you a chance to promote yourself or anything you want. Many people will visit the site and click on profiles to see what people are promoting... Unlike other websites looking for donations to raise money for their films, we wanted to offer
a service, so hopefully for $20 most people will feel as though they are getting a lot for their money.

SO WHAT DO I GET FOR BECOMING AN INDYWOOD PRODUCER?
By becoming an Indywood Film Producer you will receive the following benefits:

• YOUR NAME WILL APPEAR ON THE END CREDITS OF THE MOVIE
• YOUR NAME WILL APPEAR ON THE PRODUCER LIST ON THE SITE
• YOUR NAME WILL BE ADDED BY US TO THE IMDB.com AS AN OFFICIAL
  PRODUCER TO "INVASION OF THE NOT QUITE DEAD"
• YOU WILL GET YOUR PHOTO ON THE MAIN GRID WITH A LINK TO YOUR PROFILE
• PROMOTE YOURSELF OR ANYTHING YOU WANT WITH AN INDYWOOD PROFILE

IS THIS ANOTHER PIXEL ADVERTISING SITE?
This really isn’t another pixel advertising site - as much as we admire the people behind the
milliondollar bla bla bla, we wanted to make something a little different, something similar but a bit more jokey, rather than selling so many pixels, we are going the very simple route of selling producer squares, call us a simple mans pixel site.

SO HOW MANY SQUARES CAN I HAVE?
There is no limit to the amount of squares you can purchase, below is just an example.

The more squares you buy, the bigger your photo will be on the main grid.

1 Square = $20 (£10.19)
2 x 2 Squares = $80 (£40.76)
4 x 4 Squares = $160 (£81.53)
8 x 8 Squares = $320 (£163.07)
16 x 16 Squares = $640 (£326.12)
32 x 32 Squares = $1280 (£652.36)

HOW DO I GET A PROFILE?
Once you have purchased a square or squares you will then be redirected to a profile page, you then fill in your profile with photos and information, it’s a great way for producers to promote themselves.

DOES THE PROFILE PAGE ALLOW VIDEOS?
Since we want this site to have the ability for producers to promote themselves, we thought it would be best if they could show off video clips, so the profile allows html, which means if you have a video clip on myspace or youtube, you can put the code in your profile and for it to show up on your page.

IS THERE A WAY FOR PRODUCERS TO CONTACT OTHER PRODUCERS?
Yes there is, there is a messaging device on each producer page, so that if you see someone
more talented than yourself and would like to recruit them for a project, then you can send them
a producers message.

WHY IS THERE A SECTION ON MY PROFILE THAT SAYS EARN MORE STARS CLICK HERE?
Basically we want to offer our producers a chance of helping out the movie, by doing different
tasks, whether it’s promoting the project, or helping us find equipment or locations, we are offering
stars as rewards, with prizes for the people who reach 6 stars, this will be announced shortly.
